The basic design of the Ceramic Filtration is simple, the unit has two water chambers, and a .2 micron ceramic filter. The upper chamber has a 5 liter capacity (approximately 1-1/2 gallons) and the lower chamber has a 10 liter capacity (approximately 3 gallons.).

Once the upper chamber is filled with water the water drips into the lower chamber and is now free of anaerobic bacteria.

The Ceramic Filtration system includes a 0.2 micron ceramic filter and a carbon filter as well. For example, bacteria’s size is between 0.5 and 1.0 microns.

Filter lifetime:

The filter lifetime is 1500 gallons, approximately 6800 liter.

Filter maintenance:

The ceramic filter has to be cleaned regularly, using i.e. a scotch brite.
